Job Overview

Vallourec Star LP is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst Intern to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for assisting with the close process, developing and maintaining interface modules, and analyzing reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the FP&A close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain interface modules between Anaplan and BFC, ensuring seamless data transfer.
  • Analyze reports from Anaplan to Excel, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare finance reporting statements for monthly executive presentations, highlighting key performance indicators.
  • Prepare and distribute cost reports to department managers, providing actionable insights.
  • Analyze monthly and full-year actuals vs. forecast, identifying variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain cost variance analysis for Overhead and SG&A functions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Test and debug interface modules with BFC, ensuring smooth integration.
  • Roll out final interface modules, ensuring seamless data transfer.
  • Assist in delegation of authority within SAP, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain company compliance and internal control regarding DoA, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Preliminary experience showing autonomous and analytical work.
Preferred Skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with moderate direction.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • First experience with SAP and/or Business Intelligence would be a plus.
