Cost Management Analyst

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough analysis of operational expenses, planning, and forecasting related to diverse manufacturing workflows.
- Oversee and manage the Zero-Base Budgeting tool.
- Investigate and prepare detailed variance analyses and their justifications.
- Facilitate and present monthly cost assessments to key stakeholders including plant managers and executives.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial data reported for the designated entity in collaboration with the Finance Shared Services Center.
- Update and verify product costing details to support the sales division.
- Develop and maintain advanced digital reporting solutions (Excel, SAP, Power BI, etc.).
- Analyze capital projects and prepare business cases, validating profitability assessments and coordinating the approval process.
- Implement controlling initiatives and processes pertinent to business planning, operational reporting, and ongoing enhancement.
- Lead or facilitate a Continuous Improvement Team with the support of Vallourec Performance Analysts.
- Assist in benchmarking operations to enhance cost efficiency and optimize production loading practices.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and experience in an industrial setting is essential.
- Capability to design, execute, and manage highly autonomous project work.
- Experience with SAP is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in evolving business environments and technologies.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies is beneficial.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated ability in complex data analysis and digital proficiency (with Power BI or similar BI tools).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

- Ability to collaborate closely with all operational areas, including executive leadership.
