Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist for our 2nd shift operations. The working hours for this role are from 3 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a mandatory 10-hour shift on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a NAP (Universal Welder) for various welding tasks.
  • Perform specialty welding on components such as spool pieces and flanges.
  • Execute all welding processes using MIG techniques.
  • Weld outlets onto carbon steel piping.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of work for defects, ensuring proper alignment of fittings and checking end grooves for depth.
  • Identify and report any issues such as bad seams or splits in the pipe.
  • Maintain a clean and safe welding environment, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
  • Document and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns that require attention.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Proficient in reading a tape measure.
  • At least 1 year of computer experience, including Outlook and email.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Additional Information: Candidates will be required to complete a welding test during the interview process. Please ensure to bring your welding hood and personal protective equipment (PPE) for this assessment. The welding test and interview will take a minimum of 2 hours on-site.

Note: This position involves a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks performed.
