About the Role

Lantech is a leading manufacturer of stretch wrapping technology and industrial equipment. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new electrical products that meet customer needs and add value to our business.
  • Interpret customer requirements to establish electrical product specifications.
  • Design electrical systems, write PLC logic, and complete electrical documentation according to industry standards.
  • Ensure new products meet functional and non-functional specifications, including safety, performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Devises and conducts validation tests to ensure product quality.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and devise short and long-term remedies.
  • Apply engineering theory to solve complex problems.
  • Learns and applies new skills as projects require.
  • Maintains knowledge of new technologies and applies where appropriate.
  • Identifies and acts on opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with and supports teammates and other colleagues.
  • Directs junior engineers, technologists, and technicians as necessary.
  • Travels to customer sites to commission pre-production tests or troubleshoot technical issues (up to 20%).
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience designing or supporting industrial equipment.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley Studio5000 and 2D CAD drafting.
  • General knowledge of NFPA70/79, UL508A, and CE Low Voltage Directive.
Desired Skills
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering a plus.
  • Experience with text-based programming, Siemens TIA Portal, and Allen-Bradley CCW is a plus.
