About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Sierra Space Corporation. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and certifying cutting-edge electrical systems for our small satellites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for small satellites, including power distribution, communication, and navigation systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other spacecraft components
  • Test and validate electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 14 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on small satellites or spacecraft systems
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, such as SPICE or MATLAB
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Proficiency with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis

Working Conditions

This role requires occasional travel to our facilities in Louisville, Colorado, and Centennial, Colorado. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced engineers and technicians.
