Duke University is seeking an exceptional individual to join its team as a Community Engagement Director. This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic partnerships between the university and community organizations, fostering collaborations that drive positive change in the region.

The successful candidate will possess at least ten years of progressive leadership experience in community-based work, with a proven track record of building and sustaining equitable partnerships. They will have a grounding in community research in academic settings, acquired through completion of a PhD program or equivalent training.

This role requires a collaborative leader with expertise in navigating complex university environments, preferably through leadership of a community engagement center. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advancing community-engaged scholarship and teaching, with national thought leadership in this area.

As a key member of Duke's community affairs team, the Community Engagement Director will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to develop and implement community-focused initiatives. They will also serve as a liaison to external partners, facilitating connections between Duke's research entities and community organizations.

This is a full-time position, located in Durham, North Carolina. The estimated salary for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a generous benefits package.
