Job Summary:

Duke University is seeking a Family Support Specialist to join its team. This role will involve working with families and children to provide support and resources.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience in human services. They will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of the community and its resources.

In this role, you will coordinate and participate in various duties to assist investigators in implementing research studies with families and children. You will also schedule navigation visits, organize virtual and in-home family navigation visits, enter data into a specified database, and work with the research team to develop measures related to acceptability and feasibility of the navigator role.

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two years of experience in human services, preferably in a public sector setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with community resources and organizations.
