Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Vaco. As a key member of our networking team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and manage Azure backend infrastructure, partnering with our Microsoft 365 engineer to design and deploy isolated customer networks in our Azure environment for BCP purposes.
  • Manage Palo Alto VM-100 appliance, performing updates, troubleshooting, maintaining ongoing site-to-site VPN connectivity, Global Protect, and Panorama configurations.
  • Lead ongoing design improvements for our Meraki platform, leveraging Python to automate management tasks across many organizations and networks, such as adjusting firewall rules or updating non-Meraki peer site-to-site VPN tunnels.
  • Handle advanced network troubleshooting, including traffic flows, IPsec tunnel issues, firewall blocks, packet captures via Wireshark, and layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols.
  • Document changes to the systems using change management best practices.
  • Maintain a knowledgebase for system and processes owned by the role.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving business needs, effectively prioritizing tasks, staying current with the latest technology advancements, and driving projects to successful completion.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of Network Engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure infrastructure.
  • 2+ years of experience with Python.
  • Related certifications are a plus, such as CCNA, Network+, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Network Engineer Associate.
