Job Summary

The State Water Resources Control Board is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Governmental Program Analyst to provide administrative and analytical support to the public and staff. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to protecting California's water resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely administrative assistance and professional analytical support to the public and staff.
  • Assist the Executive Officer and Regional board members with human resources and administrative tasks.
  • Serve as the clerk to the board and maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize office equipment and Microsoft 365 applications to perform duties efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date with the Regional Water Quality Control Boards' function and responsibilities as a regulatory agency.

Requirements

  • Essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • A current and valid driver's license (if the position requires driving).
  • Ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.

Water Board employees may be eligible for benefits, including health benefits and leave programs, depending on length of service and collective bargaining agreements.

Salary Information

Appointment at the entrance rate of a classification, with placement based on education/experience.
