Manufacturing Specialist

At Hughes Resources, we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing various manufacturing duties in a safe and efficient manner to support the achievement of our business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:- Comply with all safety requirements, utilize the STOP program, and maintain clean/orderly work areas.
- Successfully complete all required trainings and attend/participate in required team meetings.
- Install and feed progressively smaller dies in machine and repeat operations until wire diameter meets work order specifications.
- Insert wire into machine, feed mechanism, start machine and monitor machines operations.
- Turn setscrews to secure roller die in machine.
- Load spool of wire on spindle and thread wire through machine and around take-up reel.
- Start machine and adjust controls to regulate speed and temperature to required specifications.
- Record production information in computerized or manual system packets.
- Monitor the quality of all product being worked on. Immediately notify a supervisor of any non-conformances.
- Perform material handling/relocation via forklift when needed.
- Perform daily safety and mechanical checks of machine employee is working on to ensure machine is safe and running properly. Notify maintenance immediately of any operational issues.
- High school diploma/GED, preferred.
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred.
- Basic operational ability for Windows-based PC.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with team members.
- Able to perform under deadlines.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, at times, and overtime as needed.
- Initiative – must be able to work independently and maintain consistent attendance.
- Standing, walking, bending, pulling-100% of the time.
- Lifting 50 pounds max, infrequent.
