About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Caregiver Lead to join our team at Always Best Care - Pierce County and Thurston County. As a Caregiver Lead, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities in our community.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist with personal hygiene needs, dressing, and grooming.
  • Mobility and Exercise: Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises to promote independence and well-being.
  • Nutrition and Meal Preparation: Prepare meals and snacks that cater to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Housekeeping and Errands: Perform light housekeeping activities, such as laundry, cleaning, and errands, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Medication Reminders: Assist clients with medication reminders and administration.
  • Companionship and Social Interaction: Provide companionship and social interaction to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • On-Call Schedule: Participate in an on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage and respond to client needs promptly.
  • Client Onboarding and Training: Train and onboard new caregivers to ensure a smooth transition and high-quality care.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance visits to monitor caregiver performance and client satisfaction.
  • Communication and Reporting: Maintain open communication with clients, caregivers, and the Care Manager to report any changes in client condition or concerns.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred.
  • Certifications: First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
  • Leadership and Education: Ability to lead and educate others, including caregivers and clients.
  • Housekeeping and Cooking Skills: Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills to prepare meals and snacks.
  • Health and Safety: Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients, caregivers, and the Care Manager.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required by the role.
  • Compassion and Respect: Compassionate, respectful, and ethical approach to care and client interactions.
