Flex-N-Gate Corporation is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry. We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our team.

Scope of the Position

The Process Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining process controls on presses, molds, and equipment to customer specification. This facility operates on a three-shift schedule, and the successful candidate must be willing and able to work any shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

Optimize machine processes by reducing scrap, cycle times, and mold change times.

Secure controlled injection processes using plastic data.

Direct set-ups for molds.

Perform start-up and shut-down of molding equipment.

Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency.

Maintain minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments when required.

Verify system performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic office skills, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and AS400 systems.
  • Safety and environmental training and experience.
  • Previous experience in injection molding or manufacturing.
  • Ability to work afternoons or night shifts.
  • Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize tasks.
  • Highly motivated, service-oriented individual with attention to detail.
  • Troubleshooting ability required.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated good internal customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.

Working Conditions

  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • This position may require hot work, standing for extended periods, overhead work, kneeling, bending, crawling, pushing, pulling, climbing, and working at heights.
