Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Urology/Uro-Oncology team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with urological conditions, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and diagnose patients with urological conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, consulting physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and perform procedures as authorized by New York State law and hospital protocols.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current registration as a Professional Nurse in New York and registration as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.
- Certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., ANCC or Board Certification from another specialty organization).
- At least five years of clinical nursing experience in urology or a related field, with a strong track record of providing high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a urology or urology-related setting.
- Membership in professional specialty organizations (e.g., American Association of Nurse Practitioners or American Urological Association).
