Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for planning and coordinating production-related changes resulting from product design, volume, and continuous improvement measures. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing new product design implications through the Change Management System to evaluate process impact and provide feedback on process time analysis and investment requirements.
- Supporting the development of production-compatible components and manufacturing processes in cooperation with Research & Development, central planning, and manufacturing process areas.
- Participating in product reviews for model changes, including overseas travel.
- Ensuring planning and preparation of assembly processes while coordinating logistics functions and supply processes.
- Performing statistical quality control and reviewing VA/AA and Q-Release quality requirements measures.
- Developing work procedures and instructions for production processes and implementing plans to increase productivity and decrease production costs.
- Reviewing line targets in the area of responsibility and preparing plans and workshops to improve and support target KPIs set by the plant leader.
- Identifying wastes in production processes and implementing improvements using Manufacturing Production Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Preparing and managing materials, equipment, and information resources to plan processes.
- Supporting the identification and resolution of manufacturability topics related to product/process design & development, process planning, capacity planning, process documentation, human factors, ergonomics, and safety.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of three years' of relevant professional experience in Engineering in a manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on project management and/or process planning.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a team environment and problem-solving skills.
