Cardiac Medicine and Surgery Professional Development Manager

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Leader to join our team in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including workshops, webinars, and online courses.
- Collaborate with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to identify learning needs and develop targeted training programs.
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to provide high-quality educational resources.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in cardiac medicine and surgery, and apply this knowledge to inform educational programs.
- Lead quality and safety efforts, promoting a just culture framework and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in hospital surveys and contribute to the development of policies and guidelines.
- MSN or MS with a major in Nursing, or DNP or PhD with a major in Nursing, or a BSN with a Master's degree in a related field.
- Specialty certification in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery required.
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cardiovascular nursing, with a strong background in education and leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
