Job Overview
As a Senior Financial Analyst within the Point of Care Ultrasound and Digital Solutions division, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) throughout the entire Strategic Business Unit (SBU) value chain. This position will act as a key collaborator with the operational teams, providing essential insights for capital distribution, execution of new product initiatives, forecasting supply and demand, enhancing supply chain robustness, improving manufacturing efficiency, and strategizing pricing and organic growth opportunities. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager of the Point of Care Ultrasound and Digital Solutions team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business leadership to formulate growth strategies and operational plans while ensuring the achievement of financial targets and regional expansion.
  • Deliver insightful and sustainable analysis and reporting of vital business metrics, partnering with operational teams to drive actionable outcomes.
  • Engage with global commercial and finance teams to dissect the factors influencing orders and sales compared to the Operating Plan (VOP) regarding revenue, sales margin (SM), average Sales Price (ASP), and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
  • Assist in triangulating quarterly forecasts and estimating potential sales and order outcomes.
  • Analyze New Product Introduction (NPI) business cases and monitor their performance.
  • Collaborate with product leadership to prioritize research and development projects and manage gross base cost expenditures, including business case development and ongoing product profitability assessments.
  • Support budget planning and execution for R&D and new business development initiatives.
  • Oversee quarterly closing processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive reporting of results while analyzing variances.
  • Lead the reporting and analytics efforts, providing both detailed and summarized views of the Profit and Loss statement.
  • Create reporting packages and presentations for monthly senior leadership operational reviews.
  • Partner with Operations to establish and achieve annual variable cost productivity targets and support the annual costing process.
  • Work alongside manufacturing and sourcing teams to manage product end-of-life strategies and minimize parts obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to set up and maintain a robust reporting infrastructure, including global product hierarchy and general ledger hierarchy, to support financial analysis aligned with the monthly operational cadence.
  • Educate product managers on business intelligence tools and facilitate product pricing and structure simplifications.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at driving simplification and standardization across the organization, enhancing rigor while reducing costs and improving compliance.
  • Ensure compliance and controllership across all financial transactions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial analysis.

  • Experience in financial closing, analysis, and forecasting (FP&A).

  • Excellent communication skills: experience engaging with various levels (including executive), functions, and regions; able to convey complex financial information simply and effectively.

  • Proficient digital skills: experience with financial systems/applications (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects) and strong Excel capabilities, including data compilation and aggregation.
  • Confidence and assertiveness, with the ability to influence across business functions and communicate difficult messages to business leaders.
