Job Overview

At Palette Hotels, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in maintenance engineering and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to ensure the hotel's facilities and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Manage and maintain a safe and efficient Engineering Department, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring all expenses are within approved guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient inventory and purchasing system, ensuring timely delivery of parts and materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve departmental performance.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent, with a strong background in maintenance engineering and carpentry.
  • Preferred: HAVC certification and experience in managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
