About the Role
Coastal Gulf & International, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Petroleum Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety within our operations. This role involves meticulous inspection work across various petroleum facilities, including terminals, refineries, barges, and ships.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct precise product measurements and sample collection, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. Perform related calculations and maintain comprehensive inventory records.
- Verify the calibration of measurement equipment and uphold strict cleanliness standards for all issued tools.
- Execute thorough visual inspections of tanks, including entering confined spaces, to guarantee adherence to safety protocols.
- Work diligently in environments involving hazardous materials, adhering to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to fulfill additional inspection department duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate unwavering commitment to Coastal Gulf & International's procedural, safety, and quality requirements.
- Participate in mandatory training programs covering petroleum, chemical, and gas inspection procedures, including Right-to-Know training, hazardous materials transportation, and other essential safety protocols.
- Maintain flexibility to accept job assignments promptly and be available for on-call duties.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding all job and safety requirements in English.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Your Qualifications
- Possess exceptional internal and external customer service skills.
- Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Exhibit a strong work history characterized by responsibility and reliability.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mandatory: TWIC card.
- Preferred: IFTA certification.
