Job Title: Petroleum Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Inspector to join our team at Intertek. As a key member of our Caleb Brett team, you will be responsible for performing volume and temperature measurements, as well as sampling commodity materials contained in lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks, barges, and ships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform volume and temperature measurements on commodity materials
  • Sample commodity materials contained in lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks, barges, and ships
  • Conduct visual inspections on lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks, barges, and ships
  • Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks, barges, and ships
  • Perform routine equipment calibrations, verification, and function checks
  • Verify and communicate results obtained and make entries into appropriate media
Requirements:
  • Basic grasp of mathematics and ability to work in an automated environment
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs for shore tanks
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate

  • TIC certified
