Job Overview

We are seeking a Suppression Service Technician to enhance our dedicated team.

Compensation: Hourly pay range: $22-36/hour based on qualifications, certifications, and relevant experience.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

As a Suppression Service Technician, your primary responsibilities will include the installation, upkeep, and evaluation of various fire suppression systems, including restaurant hood systems, vehicle suppression systems, and industrial dry chemical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain pre-engineered fire suppression systems.
  • Conduct servicing and inspections of diverse fire extinguishers and suppression systems for clients.
  • Identify and diagnose system issues and document deficiencies.
  • Keep clients informed about compliance with codes and manufacturers' standards.
  • Ensure all work aligns with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
  • Assist customers with quotes, inquiries, and fire equipment needs, ensuring follow-up for satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional service to all internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • Spend approximately 25% of your time performing duties of a Fire Extinguisher Technician.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in suppression installation, inspection, or service.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • E4 Wet/dry Chemical Fire Extinguishing Systems certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • ICC (FK) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Regularly lift and transport toolboxes, tools, equipment, and parts.
  • Capability to push or pull loads of up to 50 pounds.
