About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Bickford Senior Living in Omaha Hickory. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by accurately administering medications and providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately follow the resident's Medication Administration Record (MAR) to ensure medications are administered according to physician's orders.
  • Understand and follow the 'Six Rights of Medication Administration' and all Bickford policies and procedures regarding medication management.
  • Utilize the Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) system for medication administration.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
  • Provide direct resident care and supervise the work of non-licensed team members as needed.
Qualifications
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing or at least one year of experience in senior care.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to take additional training or education as required by specific states.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to utilize or learn Bickford's eMAR system.
