Key Responsibilities

As a Seafood Manager at Restaurant Depot, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Seafood Department, ensuring that all products are received, stocked, and displayed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Functions:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Seafood Department, including product placement, rotation, signage, and displays.
  • Ensure that all seafood products are received and stored in a clean and organized manner, and that all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Conduct daily inventory checks to prevent shrinkage and damages, and ensure that shelf pricing is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Supervise the ordering of seafood products from vendors, ensuring that we have competitive pricing and minimal shrink due to spoilage.
  • Maintain accurate computer inventory levels by performing regular physical inventories and making adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure that all employees in the department are trained on the proper use of equipment, such as the Toledo scale and Dennison label machine.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of refrigerated equipment and ensure that maintenance contracts and schedules are followed.
  • Perform weekly self-audits of the Seafood Department to ensure that all standards are being met.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a foodservice or retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Pass a drug screen.
