Customer Service Logistics Coordinator

At Morrison Express, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Logistics professional to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless customer service and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Support client onboarding for all products, including air, ocean, imports, exports, and customs brokerage.
- Coordinate with operations teams to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure their operational implementation through systems, people training, and coordination with sales teams.
- Interact with sales teams on a daily basis, supporting customer service inquiries directly with customers and indirectly from sales teams.
- Align client reporting and retention, providing face-to-face customer interactions and penetrating clients to secure more business.
- Understand Advanced Engineering (AE), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Sales Engineering (SE), Sales Intelligence (SI), and warehouse operations.
- Perform data entry, document upload, and monitoring of customer and 3rd party vendor cloud-based portals.
- Monitor EDI via FTP folders, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure all data is properly aligned with customer reports and MEC operating systems.
- Ensure teamwork within the MEC LAX station and other stations in the network.
- Knowledgeable on all clients and files from operations and sales standpoints.
- 3rd party billing for all product support.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the forwarding industry, with solid knowledge of export/import processes in The Americas region.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good planning, problem-solving, and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter.
- Must be detail-oriented, thorough, accurate, and have the ability to efficiently solve problems with strong PC skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications.
- Strong Air, ocean, and brokerage experience to lead main LAX products. Air imports experience is necessary.
- Knowledge on warehousing products to articulate business.
- Freight forwarding experience is desirable. Able to coordinate with team members and align them to be successful from an operational/sales standpoint.
- Customer service experience is desirable to deal with clients directly. Able to do quotations, reporting, and reply promptly to requests from clients.
