Position Summary
The role of Environmental Compliance Analyst is situated within the Environmental Licensing & Permitting Section of the Corporate Environmental Services Department. This position is integral to the early and late stages of project development for NextEra Energy Resources and its affiliates.

Key Responsibilities
As an Environmental Compliance Analyst, you will:

  • Conduct site assessments to identify and evaluate potential Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS).
  • Collaborate with project managers and environmental specialists to assess and develop potential project sites.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of necessary federal, state, and local environmental permits across multiple states.
  • Provide guidance on environmental site constraints and permitting strategies for diverse energy projects, including renewable sources and energy storage solutions.
  • Maintain effective communication with local agency personnel and Non-Governmental Organizations to ensure compliance and foster positive relationships.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of environmental regulations, including the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act.
  • Experience in environmental consulting, particularly in evaluating complex wetland scenarios.
  • Proficiency in field mapping and GIS technologies.
  • A collaborative approach to managing multiple projects with intricate environmental and regulatory challenges.
  • A willingness to travel to remote locations for site evaluations.
