Position Overview
This role is situated within the Environmental Services Department of NextEra Energy Resources, focusing on the support of new development initiatives in energy generation projects.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing environmental permitting assistance for new energy generation and storage projects. Primary duties include:

  • Developing and implementing permitting strategies to secure all necessary federal, state, and local environmental licenses and approvals.
  • Conducting site assessments and engaging in community outreach activities.
  • Managing multiple projects with diverse environmental and regulatory challenges.
  • Leading comprehensive environmental due diligence evaluations.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant national and state environmental policies and regulations.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and company policies.

Qualifications
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, while a Master's degree is advantageous.

Work Environment
This position may require frequent travel within the state, including potential overnight stays.
