Position Summary

  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as company policies.
  • Conduct admission assessments and manage documentation for new residents.
  • Develop and implement acute and long-term care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Assist in clinical tracking systems, such as monitoring wounds or infection control, under the guidance of the nursing director.
  • Provide health-related consultations to residents and their families.
  • Communicate any changes in residents' health status to physicians and family members, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
  • Maintain effective communication with all departments and staff members to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Facilitate educational sessions for residents and staff to promote health awareness.
  • Understand and participate in the Safety & Disaster Plan to ensure preparedness.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of residents' information at all times.
  • Handle discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as required.

Qualifications

Education: Completion of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.

Field of Study: Nursing.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in senior care or a related field.

Certifications: Current Licensed Practical Nurse's License in the practicing state and CPR certification.

Language Proficiency: Adequate English proficiency to perform job responsibilities and communicate effectively in emergency situations.

Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy.

Competencies:

  • Ability to collaborate within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently and safely.

Personal Attributes: Strong ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, particularly in critical situations.
