Job Title: Chemical Synthesis and Prototyping Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Chemical Synthesis and Prototyping Specialist to join our team at SAIC. As a key member of our R&E S&T team, you will play a critical role in developing technology investment roadmaps focused on the design and testing of distributed, scalable, low energy approaches to the synthesis of chemical building blocks for vital military supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and coordinate plans according to calculated benchmarks and milestones.
  • Utilize mathematical and statistical techniques to build out performance goals for S&T advancement in service to military mission constraints.
  • Demonstrate creativity and foresight by identifying, preparing, and presenting detailed technical reports and briefings on new concepts and technical directions impacting programs/projects, and defining future technology requirements.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and scientists and work domain experts in the planning, design, development, and testing of new technologies.

Salary: Estimated $145,000 - $170,000 per annum based on experience and location in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications:

  • Broad experience, coupled with technical depth in disparate domains of chemical synthesis, catalysis and prototyping.
  • Capable of defining structured problems, projects, and S&T investment programs.
  • Ability to work with little or no direction.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – must be able to deliver high quality reports and presentations to clients and sponsors.
