Job Title: Principal Power Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Power Electronics Engineer to join our team in Warrendale, PA. As a key member of our Electrical Distribution Division, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of large converters, inverters, and FACTS devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of power electronics systems, including converters, inverters, and FACTS devices.
  • Perform power electronic circuit design and board layout using PCB design software.
  • Conduct power flow, transient stability, reactive planning, and power electronics design and control studies using software programs such as PSIM, PLECS, Simulink, PSPICE, and others.
  • Consult on and/or review major development programs and provide input on company development program planning.
  • Provide engineering leadership and serve as the primary contact for design issues identified by other groups and divisions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum 10 years' experience in power electronics design.
  • Advanced knowledge of electric power systems and equipment operation and control.
  • Advanced knowledge of circuit and system analysis using computer simulation tools.
  • Intermediate knowledge of embedded system design as related to power electronics.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
