Job Title: Power Distribution Drafter

Job Summary:

MasTec Professional Services is seeking a skilled Power Distribution Drafter to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and drafting power distribution systems for various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
  • Perform basic to intermediate engineering designs, including survey and documentation of existing utility field conditions.
  • Contribute to and implement design modifications to improve project quality and process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment and adapt to change.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent related experience with design.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and around energized equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Power distribution knowledge and experience with Civil 3D.
  • Familiarity with electrical standards, including National Electric Code (NEC) and National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
  • Knowledge of Katapult or Ike equipment and distribution equipment and hardware.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment and requires the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
