Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Campbell Soup Company. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in our plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical problems with machinery and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and plumbing systems
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a mechanic
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and make repairs
  • Knowledge of standard materials, tools, and equipment, and skill in the use and care of tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
  • Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and computers

Compensation and Benefits

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $31.57. An individual's base pay depends on a number of factors, such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation, such as a performance-based bonus and other short- and long-term incentives. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits beginning on one's first day of employment.
