Job Title: Focal Plane Process Engineering Manager

At Raytheon, we are seeking a highly skilled Focal Plane Process Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Focal Plane Operations Process Engineering department, you will be responsible for leading a team of process engineers in the development and implementation of semiconductor and focal plane array manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of process engineers to ensure effective support for multi-shift factory operations and multiple production programs.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase capacity, improve yield, reduce cycle time, and decrease cost.
  • Define opportunities for impactful process development and provide leadership to drive organizational change.
  • Develop staff to effectively manage process improvement activities, including compliance to internal and customer policies.
  • Lead the use of Statistical Process Control and Process Capability Analysis to drive predictable yields.
  • Define requirements for acquisition and qualification of new capital equipment.
  • Champion PFMEA and RCCA activities to proactively prevent process excursions.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years' experience as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer in an Optics, Electro-Optics, and/or Microelectronics environment.
  • Experience leading and managing the execution of processes and projects.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with infrared detector technology and materials.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience leading teams to achieve results in a technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom work environments and principles.
  • Ability to solve technical problems while maintaining accountability to delivered product.
