About the Role

Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA, is a leading healthcare provider offering cutting-edge medical technology in a healing environment. As a Cardiac Anesthesiologist, you will be part of a comprehensive facility with 300 beds, providing acute care services.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Manage patients undergoing surgery and medical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain patient consent, and discuss anesthetic options and risks
  • Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia, monitoring their physiological condition and performing clinical interventions as needed
Requirements
  • MD/Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • TEE proficiency and completion of Cardiac Fellowship
  • ECFMG and FLEX certification
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia and current licensure as a physician
