Job Summary

As a Nurse Anesthetist at the University of California, you will play a critical role in providing safe anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Under the supervision of an anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for pre-operative assessment, administration of anesthesia, patient monitoring, and post-operative care. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

* Perform pre-operative assessment of patients to identify potential risks and develop a safe anesthesia plan
* Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
* Provide post-operative care to patients, including transportation to the recovery room and handover to qualified medical personnel
* Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

* Valid California RN and CRNA license
* Graduated from an accredited Master's or DNP program in Nurse Anesthesia
* Current certification/re-certification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists
* BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
