Job Overview

Position Summary: Responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC and Numerical Control (NC) machines and machining centers to produce high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential and may include additional tasks as assigned:


• Analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ascertain the dimensions and tolerances of the finished product, as well as the sequence of operations and setup requirements.


• Accurately measure, mark, and indicate dimensions and reference points on materials or workpieces to guide subsequent machining processes.


• Select, align, and secure appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines to ensure precision in part fabrication.


• Calculate and set machine controls to manage machining parameters such as speed, feed rate, coolant flow, and cutting depth, or input commands to adjust computerized machine control systems according to established protocols.


• Initiate and monitor machine operations to identify malfunctions or deviations from specifications, making necessary adjustments to machine settings or control systems.


• Confirm the conformity of finished products to specifications using various measuring and inspection tools.


• Conduct trial runs to validate the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.


• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
