Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at Georgia-Pacific. As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plywood manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Review weekly backlog data and conduct meetings to discuss progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and production owners to plan and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Utilize planning tools to determine parts, materials, and equipment needs for maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of necessary materials and services.
  • Develop and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for equipment and update Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) as needed.
  • Verify parts received and ensure job parts are properly kitted.
  • Review work orders for parts used and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Participate in improvement opportunities and lead projects to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform tasks such as pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs., as well as walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in an industrial, military, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial, military, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as a scheduler and/or planner.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to format cells, use formulas, and work with pivot tables.
  • Experience with precision maintenance techniques.
  • Experience with MP2 software.
  • Crew lead person or supervisory experience.
