Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect, Strategic Segment

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our Strategic Accounts segment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for partnering with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with customers to design and implement cloud architectures using AWS services
  • Help customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market or building an elastic, scalable, cost-optimized application
  • Engage with product owners to influence product direction and help customers tap into new markets using AWS services
  • Look for patterns and trends that can be broadly applied across an industry segment or a set of customers to accelerate innovation
  • Drive usage and adoption across a specific customer as a core member of the account team
  • Help organizations understand and implement advanced cloud-based solutions and migrate and scale existing workloads in the cloud
  • Shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broad use of AWS
  • Interact, communicate, and partner with other teams within AWS, such as services teams, marketing, and professional services, as well as represent your team to executive management

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in a specific technology domain area, such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience developing technology solutions and evangelizing end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
  • 5+ years of experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification
  • Professional experience architecting, operating cloud-based solutions
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, and manage high ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers

Compensation:

The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company and may provide additional forms of compensation, such as equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
