Position Overview:

The Plumber III role involves applying theoretical knowledge, plumbing codes, and related expertise to the design and installation of plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of operational sequences, troubleshooting techniques, and the ability to read piping schematics, blueprints, and specifications. Responsibilities include preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of commercial and industrial plumbing systems. The candidate must maintain organized service records and communicate effectively to assess needs while adhering to all safety standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, demonstrating safe work practices.
  • Complete required training and certification for operating equipment such as forklifts and lifts.
  • Install new and replacement plumbing equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Install piping systems, including water lines and drain lines, following established standards.
  • Perform maintenance and service on plumbing systems, including drain lines and hot water systems.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess conditions for installation and repair costs.
  • Document all work accurately, including timesheets and service reports.
  • Comply with all building codes and company policies.
  • Participate in safety training and maintain tools and vehicles.
  • Complete other assigned duties as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning new software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and interpret technical instructions.
  • Mathematical proficiency for performing calculations and interpreting graphs.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and present oneself professionally.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.

Educational Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a Plumbing Apprenticeship Program is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of related experience or training is necessary, along with applicable certifications and a valid driver's license. A State or Jurisdictional Master Plumbing License is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires physical activity typical of a standard office environment, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment:

Employees will work in environments requiring safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes and eye protection. Compliance with OSHA guidelines and company safety initiatives is mandatory.
