Position Summary:

The Plumber III will utilize their expertise in plumbing theory, codes, and practical knowledge to design and install plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and maintaining commercial and industrial plumbing systems. This role requires excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate service records and effective communication to assess client needs. Adherence to safety standards and procedures is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, demonstrating adherence to safety protocols.
  • Participate in training and certification programs for equipment operation.
  • Install and replace plumbing equipment and components according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Construct and maintain piping systems, including water lines and drainage systems, following established standards.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on various plumbing systems as needed.
  • Perform site assessments to estimate installation and repair costs.
  • Document all service activities, including timesheets and expense reports.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and company policies.
  • Engage in general tasks such as safety training and tool maintenance.
  • Complete all paperwork related to job responsibilities accurately and promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
  • Mathematical proficiency for calculations related to plumbing tasks.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and strong work ethic.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a Plumbing Apprenticeship Program is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is necessary, along with applicable certifications and a valid driver's license. A State or Jurisdictional Master Plumbing License is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves physical demands typical of a plumbing environment, including the ability to lift and move heavy objects, work at heights, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.

Work Environment:

Employees will work in various settings requiring appropriate safety equipment and adherence to OSHA guidelines. The ability to manage stress and maintain professionalism in challenging situations is essential.
