Position Overview:
EMCOR Government Services is seeking a qualified Plumber III to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient installation and maintenance of plumbing systems across various facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize plumbing knowledge and codes to effectively layout and install plumbing systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on commercial and industrial plumbing systems.
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Adhere to all safety standards and procedures while working.
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures related to heating, water, and drainage systems.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure a safe and organized work environment.
- Complete necessary training for equipment operation, including forklifts and lifts.
- Install and replace equipment and parts according to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct maintenance on drain lines, hot water systems, and boilers.
- Perform site surveys to assess conditions for installation and repair.
- Document all work accurately, including timesheets and service reports.
- Comply with all building codes and company policies.
- Participate in safety training and maintain tools and vehicles.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Plumbing Apprenticeship Program is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Applicable certifications and a valid driver's license; a Master Plumbing License is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand, walk, and use hands frequently.
- Lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
- Work at heights and in various physical positions.
Work Environment:
The role involves working in various environments where safety equipment is necessary. Adherence to OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols is essential.
