As Accruent continues to expand, we are seeking a highly motivated and inquisitive engineer with a DevOps mindset to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Engineering organization to automate the provisioning of enterprise-level infrastructure and applications, ensuring reliability and scalability. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining system and application uptime, minimizing bugs, and ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction through the swift delivery of dependable software.
Your impact will include:
- Enhancing product release automation for applications across various data centers and public cloud environments.
- Establishing and managing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for our enterprise software applications.
- Analyzing legacy systems to identify optimal automation strategies and tools for modernizing essential business applications.
- Promoting the principles and philosophy of the DevOps methodology throughout all engineering and operations teams.
- Mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices regarding automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and monitoring.
- Continuously refining our DevOps processes to boost efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Collaborating with development teams to define and implement automated testing strategies.
- Partnering with software architects and developers to create automation solutions that save time and resources.
- Implementing application and deployment monitoring automation to identify and resolve issues, bottlenecks, and performance challenges.
- Working cross-functionally with various teams to address common obstacles.
What you bring:
- 5-7 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role or a similar position.
- Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to resolve practical challenges while engaging cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication skills with business partners, management, vendors, and technical teams.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience in building, maintaining, and orchestrating containerized applications.
- Proficiency in multiple scripting languages such as Python, BASH, and PowerShell.
- Expertise in deployment tools like Octopus and Code Deploy.
- Experience with Git and managing source code solutions (Azure DevOps, BitBucket, GitHub).
- Expertise in continuous integration tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Team City, Jenkins).
- Proficiency in configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, SaltStack).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity with application monitoring and log aggregation tools (AppDynamics, New Relic, Logic Monitor, Splunk, Datadog).
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
Additional skills that will set you apart:
- Experience in creating GitOps-based automation and deployment solutions.
- Experience in a DevOps Dojo or initiating such programs.
- Expertise in the software development lifecycle and release management technologies.
- Understanding of deployment patterns (Blue/Green, Canary) and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in technical writing and documentation for internal and external teams regarding tools and best practices.
- Experience in mentoring and training teams on DevOps best practices.
- Familiarity with relational and document database technologies (Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with Kubernetes.

The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $182,000, with eligibility for a bonus as part of the compensation package. Base pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors.
