Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Enrollment Services Coordinator to join our team at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. This role will provide comprehensive admissions, registration, and records management services to prospective and enrolled students and alumni.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage office schedule, front desk rotations, and staff coverage due to breaks, illness, vacation, meetings, etc.
  • Coordinate and schedule established office and system reports; create ad hoc reports as needed; collect, select, classify, and compile data from multiple sources and make summary reports as required; assist in data analysis and reporting trends
  • Perform a variety of activities associated with office operations that require initiative and independent judgment, assume other related job duties as assigned.
  • Supervise and train assigned student employees
  • Ensure areas of responsibility operate within the policies and procedures of the college and applicable governing agencies
  • Represent the college at professional and community organizations; participate in professional conferences and in-services
  • Assist supervisor to develop and maintain office procedures, training, cross-training, and professional development; develop and carry out comprehensive plans for office activity, growth, and general progress of the office towards established goals
  • Contribute professionally by serving, as appropriate, on college committees and task forces
  • Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality
  • Assist the director and other college administrators with strategic planning, business planning, and other initiatives as necessary; assume other related job duties as assigned
Collaborative Advising Model
  • Provide support to the college's collaborative advising model including, blocking registration as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the office of instruction and the student development office on procedures that support the collaborative advising model
  • The coordinator will be expected to be knowledgeable about the specific functions of the Admissions and Registration Office to enable students to navigate their enrollment process as efficiently as possible
Registration and Records
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate procedures and training materials for the college's graduation processes
  • Coordinate, support, and train staff in completing transcript evaluations, updating degree audit, and processing graduation applications
  • Monitor, coordinate, and supervise maintenance of student records, transcripts, graduation evaluations, and course substitutions and equivalencies
  • Evaluate transcripts for placement and for credit transfer
  • Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
Qualifications
  • Sufficient combination of education, work, and lived experience to demonstrate ability to meet the following expectations (generally, successful candidates have a bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of related work experience):
    • Provide effective support to a diverse population of students
    • Provide efficient and student-focused customer service
    • Use multi-format technology for the successful completion of assignments including Microsoft office suite, student management systems, CRMs, and other relevant software programs.
    • Evaluate college transcripts to award credit
    • Supervise student employees
    • Balance multiple projects and manage competing priorities
  • Mission-driven and passionate about programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
