Exercise Physiologist

Baptist Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a critical role in assisting with performing graded exercise tolerance stress testing with and without nuclear medicine to assist in diagnostic testing.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Cardiac Stress Testing
- Perform electrocardiography (ECG) testing, and Holter monitors
- Monitor exercise for safety, monitor blood pressure at rest and during exercise and documents procedures according to established guidelines
- Perform EKG services according to established procedure of the hospital
- Select and assess portions of the test strips, interprets data or summarizes data for interpretation by medical staff
- Maintain sufficient inventory to efficiently operate the EKG services
- Perform billing for Holter and stress testing using hospital systems
- Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating and replacing items such as paper rolls, fuses, and bulbs
- Maintain current knowledge/certification/licensure
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Health Education, Health Leisure & Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Public Health
- 1-3 years of experience in cardiac or fitness/wellness related environment
- Completed internship in cardiac and pulmonary related setting
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association
- EKG Technician (CET_NHA) or Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT_CCI) certification
