We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Referral Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing the referral process for our patients, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Referral Process: Oversee the referral process for assigned providers, ensuring accurate data entry and timely completion of referrals.
- Scheduling Process: Coordinate scheduling of referred services, interacting with referring offices, consulting offices, patient access centers, and patients to ensure appointments are confirmed and patients are aware of their scheduled services.
- Communication/Reporting Process: Follow up with patients and consulted providers to ensure patients keep their appointments and are seen for scheduled services. Interact with consulting services to ensure status reports and assessments are generated and forwarded to referring providers.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; secretarial science education or comparable experience preferred.
- Experience: Two years of progressively responsible medical receptionist/medical office experience required.
