Job Title: Lead Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Lead Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based systems
  • Develop and maintain scalable and reliable cloud-based applications
  • Lead the development of DevOps tools and practices to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Continuously improve software engineering practices and lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
  • At least 4 years of experience with AWS
  • At least 2 years of team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • 5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience in improving observability, performance efficiency, and resilience of applications
  • 5+ years of experience in building architecture and design of new and current systems
