SUMMARY

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Project Superintendent. This role is crucial for the safe and effective management of construction projects, requiring the Superintendent to be present on-site throughout the project's duration. The position involves the execution of project plans and coordination with the project team to ensure seamless operations.

The Superintendent must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in civil construction, including railroad, utilities, and infrastructure projects. Strong written communication skills are essential for preparing technical reports on construction activities, tracking daily site costs, and managing multiple subcontracts and vendors effectively. The ability to mediate tactfully with clients is also required.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • On-site execution and coordination of project plans according to the Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Scheduling and overseeing all construction phases
  • Leading regular safety meetings and discussions on project health
  • Preparing daily reports in collaboration with the Project Manager and Site Safety & Health Officer
  • Reviewing and processing project submittals
  • Actively participating in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with on-site personnel
  • Coordinating with subcontractors on-site

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction, preferably with Federal/DOD projects
  • OSHA 30 Certification

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Exceptional communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Experience in construction management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Federal government or DOD construction projects
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Current security clearance
  • Estimating experience, including familiarity with RS Means
