Role Summary:
The Wastewater Technician will play a crucial role within our production facility, focusing on the management and maintenance of the wastewater treatment systems. This position involves ensuring compliance with environmental standards and maintaining detailed records of the treatment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and oversee the wastewater treatment systems, including pumps and tanks.
- Monitor treatment processes to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
- Conduct routine testing of wastewater samples to verify system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues related to wastewater treatment.
- Maintain an inventory of necessary treatment chemicals and testing supplies.
- Document all wastewater treatment activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform outfall sampling at designated locations.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and replacing filters.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the efficiency of the wastewater treatment process.
- Participate in safety training and uphold safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in chemistry or environmental science is advantageous.
- Experience with wastewater treatment systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations related to wastewater management.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to interpret technical documents.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks in various positions.
The pay rate for this position is competitive, along with an annual incentive plan targeting a bonus.
