About the Role

This critical role requires a candidate who will be the primary MITRE focal point to Air Force leadership, overseeing and shaping a work package that includes Embedded GPS Inertial-Modernized (EGI-M), Resilient-EGI (R-EGI), and Software Defined User Equipment (SDUE).

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to PNT PO, providing strategic and technical leadership to develop a deep understanding of mission challenges.
  • Develop and define PNT PO project outcomes in alignment with NSEC Space Warfighting outcomes.
  • Manage and oversee the technical performance, staffing, and funding execution for resources provided by 5 different government stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and subject matter experts to drive technical impact and leverage MITRE technical expertise.
  • Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion aligned with the Air and Space Force Center strategy.
Requirements

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance (TS) with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Demonstrated technical depth in the field of systems engineering in one or more of the following mission areas: satellite communications, satellite navigation, operational assessments, prototyping, and experimentation.

Experience working acquisition programs in one or more of the following mission areas: aviation platform integration, PNT user equipment, and satellite navigation.

Experience as a technical or program manager, experience on acquisition programs.

Demonstrated leadership and ability to build collaboration across organizational units.

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with Government Sponsors.

Ability to effectively communicate highly technical and conceptual ideas.

Demonstrated ability for critical thinking.

Demonstrated ability to be proactive in research and problem-solving with minimal supervision.
