Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Literacy Program Specialist to join our team at LaAmistad. This role will involve assisting teachers in recognizing and responding to the diverse needs of learners, utilizing research-based assessment approaches to inform instruction, and developing and implementing literacy strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in utilizing a variety of assessment approaches to differentiate instruction.
  • Research and develop best practices to address reading and writing needs.
  • Implement a balanced approach of direct teaching using authentic reading and writing opportunities.
  • Work with Academic Director to develop and implement literacy strategies.
  • Provide constructive feedback to teachers on their approach and instruction.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Education preferred.
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience.
  • Possess or qualify for a Georgia License.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
