We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our Post Surgical Unit team at North Central Surgical Center. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care.
  • Facilitate and mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.
  • Continually assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts by collaborating with other departments, clinical and nonclinical, to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate professionalism at all times and will uphold standards of practice by holding team members accountable for continued compliance adhering to professional guidelines for practice such as state board of nurses, American Nurses Association (ANA) professional standards of care, Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • At least 5 years experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit.
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
  • RN, current in the State of Texas.
  • BCLS.
  • Must attain ACLS and PALS within 3 months of hire.
