Position Overview
CMIT is in search of a dedicated and skilled medicinal chemist to contribute to our innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scientific investigations aimed at discovering new drug candidates.
  • Utilize advanced chemistry principles and techniques to address product development challenges.
  • Independently design, execute, and propose experiments aligned with project objectives.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of project aims and methodologies.
  • Devise novel experiments to enhance scientific understanding of drug compounds or methodologies for their identification.
  • Provide guidance or oversight to junior researchers and project team members during experimental processes.

  • Present research findings, interpret data, and draw conclusions independently.
  • Compose technical reports and presentations within the area of expertise.
  • Address complex challenges requiring thorough analysis of various factors.
  • Stay updated with relevant scientific literature and apply this knowledge to ongoing research projects.

  • Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to convey objectives and outcomes.
  • Identify and validate research targets while advancing state-of-the-art techniques for the development of new therapeutic agents.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant scientific principles and theories to guide research directions.

  • Employ scientific creativity and technical proficiency to propose experimental designs and research strategies.
  • Engage actively in team meetings.
  • Contribute to scientific literature and conferences through the publication and presentation of research findings.
  • Ensure a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

Qualifications:
PhD in Chemistry with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an MS degree with over 10 years of industry experience.
Expertise in Organic Chemistry, particularly in synthetic methodologies or total synthesis, is essential.
Proven synthetic skills and a solid grasp of contemporary organic synthesis techniques.
Demonstrated commitment to overcoming drug discovery challenges through organic synthesis.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to think critically and creatively, work independently, and effectively resolve problems with strong organizational skills.
Experience in supervising and leading scientific teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
Capability to analyze, interpret, and present data clearly, both orally and in writing.
